This Teacher’s Day, Chief Minister Narendra Modi will reach out to one crore students across Gujarat. That is a whopping 50 lakh more
than last year. How? The state education department has added 10,000 television screens in schools in every district to telecastCM’s message direct to students.
The state has added over 2,500 ku band sets in primary schools and 3,500 in high schools. In addition, about 4,000 sets have been installed in gram panchayats and colleges. Schools and colleges have been asked to make arrangements for Modi’s telecast.
The state plans to install 38,000 LCD television screens in government-run schools over the next few years. Sources said the state government has already made allocation of Rs 250 crore towards the project in the budget presented this year. The idea was put on fast track after Modi was unable to reach out to everyone through video-conferencing because of lack of screens in schools last year.
The Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University will have its first convocation today at its Raisan near Gandhinagar on Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar Highway.
Former president Dr A P J Abdul Kalam will be the Chief guest and Chief Minister Narendra Modi will be the guest of honour at the convocation. The varsity’s board of governor and chairman Mukesh Ambani will also be present at the function.
Petroleum management degree will be awarded to 120 students and six students will be given medal for their scholastic performance’ in various programmes.
The petroleum university has three schools — School of Petroleum Management, School of Petroleum Technology and School of Solar Energy and offers BTech, MTech, MBA, PhD and Management Programmes for working executives of petroleum sector.
In addition to the regular educational programmes, the university has also taken up initiatives for establishing a Centre for Good Governance & Policy and Centre for Energy & Fuel Studies.
Ahmedabad, Apr 21 : Taking a potshot, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today said wherever he goes he is chased by the “SRP”, by which he did not mean the State Reserve Police, but referred to “Sonia Gandhi, Rahul and Priyanka”.
“Friends now a days wherever I go, I am chased by the SRP. They are behind me all the time,” Modi said addressing an election rally in Ellisbridge, which was part of L K Advani’s Gandhinagar constituency before delimitation.
“No I am not talking about the State Reserve Police. What I meant was Sonia, Rahul and Priyanka… SRP. They have been behind me from the very beginning of the election campaign,” the BJP leader said.
“They even take turns to talk about me…On Monday Sonia, on Tuesday Rahul and on Wednesday its Priyanka. Again the cycle is repeated. As soon as it is morning they start chanting my name Modi..Modi.. Modi,” the Gujarat CM said.
Taking a dig at Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Modi said, “Soniaji, since you are coming to Gujarat be ready for questions from the people here. I will give you the questions in advance so that you can get the answers incorporated in your written speech,” Modi said.
સૌરાષ્ટ્રમા અમરેલી જીલ્લાના રજુલામા વિશાળ જનસભાઓ સંબોધતા મુખ્યપ્રધાન નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે, ખુરશી માટેની સત્તાભૂખને વરેલી કોંગ્રેસના પંજામાંથી મુક્ત થવાનો અવસર લોકસભાની ચૂંટણીએ પૂરો પાડયો છે. નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ તેમની આક્રમક શૈલીમાં મતોના રાજકારણ માટે કોંગ્રેસે ગરીબોનો ભોગ લઈને, સમાજમાં ભાગલા પાડીને ખુરશી સાચવવા કરેલા કારસાનો પર્દાફાશ કર્યો હતો.
ધોમધખતા તાપમાં યોજાયેલી રાજુલાની આજ્ની સભામાં ઊમટેલી પ્રજાને સંબોધતા નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ દિલ્હીની ગાદીએ જ્યારથી પંજો ચઢયો ત્યારથી મોંઘવારી સડસડાટ ઉપર ચઢતી ગઈ હોવાનું જણાવ્યું હતું. તેમણે ઉમેર્યુ હતંુ કે, ગરીબોના ઘરનો ચૂલો સળગતો નથી અને બાળકો ભૂખ્યા સૂવે છે, સામાન્ય માનવીની જિંદગી અસલામતીના ભયમાં જીવે છે. તેમ છતાંય કોંગ્રેસ ખુરશી સાચવવા મતોનું રાજકારણ ખેલી રહ્યું છે. કોંગ્રેસ એમ કહે છે કે, દેશની સંપત્તિ ઉપર મુસ્લિમોનો પહેલો અધિકાર છે. ભાજપ આ અધિકાર ગરીબોનો છે એમ માને છે. ગરીબોમાં બધા જ આવી જાય, એમાં હિન્દુ- મુસલમાન, શહેર- ગામડાં, યુવા- વૃદ્ધ, મહિલા તમામ આવી જાય છે. કોંગ્રેસને આ તમામ વચ્ચે ભેદ પાડીને રાજકારણ ખેલવું છે.
વધુમાં મુખ્યપ્રધાને કહ્યું હતું કે, મતોના રાજકારણમાં સાઈઠ વર્ષ વીતી ગયા અને દેશનું મજબૂત અર્થતંત્ર બેહાલ થઈ ગયું. લાખો યુવાનોને બેકારી ભરખી ગઈ, ખેડૂતો દેવાના બોજામાં ડૂબી ગયા, નિર્દોષ નાગરિકોની જિંદગી અસલામત બની ગઈ. શું આ દુર્દશા કરનારી કોંગ્રેસની શાન ઠેકાણે લાવવી જોઈએ કે નહીં, તેવા પ્રશ્નના ઉત્તરમાં જનમેદનીએ હાથ ઊંચા કરીને સમર્થન આપ્યું હતું. ગુજરાતમાં છેલ્લાં સાત વર્ષમાં થયેલા વિકાસનો ઉલ્લેખ કરતાં તેમણે ઉમેર્યું હતંુ કે, દિલ્હીમાં ભાજપની સરકાર બનશે તો કોંગ્રેસની જેમ ચાર પાયાની ખુરશી નહીં પણ ગરીબોના ભલા માટે કામ કરશે.
વધુમા તેમણે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, આ ચૂંટણીમાં દેશની જનતા ભારતની ભાગ્ય વિધાતા બનવાની છે. વોટબેંકના રાજકારણ ખેલીને દેશની સામે ખતરો બનનારી કોંગ્રેસ જોઈએ કે વિકાસ અને દેશહિતને વરેલો ભાજપ જોઈએ અને તેનો ફેંસલો જનતાએ કરી લીધો છે. ચૂંટણી પરિણામ જાહેર થતાં લોકમિજાજનો પરચો કોંગ્રેસના પંજાને મળી જશે.
રાજુલા ખાતે પીપાવાવ ગેસનો ઉલ્લેખ કરી મુખ્યમંત્રીએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે, ગુજરાતને મળવાપાત્ર હક્કનો ગેસ પુરવઠો આપવાનો ઇન્કાર કરીને રાજ્ય અને સૌરાષ્ટ્રના વિકાસને કોંગ્રેસ સરકારે અવરોધવાનો પ્રયાસ કર્યો છે. તેમણે જણાવ્યું કે ભાજપની સરકારે ગુજરાતના બંદરો દ્વારા વિશ્વ વેપારની સમૃદ્ધિના દ્વાર બનાવી દીધા છે પરંતુ સાગરકાંઠાની સુરક્ષા માટે કેન્દ્રની કોંગ્રેસ સરકારે કોઈ કાળજી લીધી નથી. અને કોંગ્રેસના ૬૦ વર્ષના શાસને ગરીબોને દુઃખ અને પીડા આપીને સત્તાસુખ ભોગવ્યું છે. હવે ભાજપાએ ગરીબો પરના દુઃખ દૂર કરવા જડીબુટ્ટી શોધી કાઢી છે. જેનું નામ ‘વિકાસ’ છે તેના દ્વારા ગરીબોનો ઉદ્ધાર કરવામાં ભાજપ ગુજરાતમાં સફળ રહ્યું છે. હવે દિલ્હીમાં પણ કોંગ્રેસનો પંજો સરકારી તિજોરી ઉપરથી દૂર કરવા તેમણે જણાવ્યું છે.

The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) poster boy, campaigning aggressively all over the country ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, launched his very own blog on April 14, the birth anniversary of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar.
Modi’s blog is written in English and Gujarati. It can be accessed at www.narendramodi.com. The blog has become the home page of the website, with Modi’s photograph dominating the upper portion of the home page.
Titled ‘My first step in the world of blogging’, the article interestingly is credited to the ‘Administrator’, followed by a picture of Dr Ambedkar.

Being a seasoned politician, Modi has obviously tried to attract the young through his blog ahead of the polls.
